DON SMITH - Chairman & Managing Director
Don has worked in a trading office all his working life, gaining valuable knowledge in management and the import and export of fresh and frozen poultry. Life at Two Counties Foods started in October 1994 when asked to help expand the poultry business in the U.K. and develop the import and export sales for Ireland and Italy. Don became a Director and Shareholder of Two Counties Foods in 1995. In 2001 Don became Sales Director and in 2014 he became Chairman and Managing Director on the retirement of Garry Walker.
RICHARD SCOTT - Sales Director
Richard's introduction to the meat industry was through retail butchery and the Smithfield College to study retail butchery. After many successful years as a butcher in the New Forest, Richard decided to move over to meat trading and joined Two Counties Foods in 1997. Richard specialises in the import of Australian and New Zealand lamb products, Richard became a Director of the Company in 2000 and a Shareholder in 2002. In 2014 Richard became Sales Director
JOHN WELLS - Director
John has been in the business for over 30 years. He started his career with a production and trading company with involvement in a wide variety of Meat, Poultry and Frozen Foods. He became the Sales Director in 1986. Over the years his remit included managing major retail, wholesale, institutional and food service accounts within the UK Market. John joined Two Counties Foods in 2009 bringing his wealth of experience to the Business. He became a Director and Shareholder in 2011.
STEVE DAVIES - Director
Steve's introduction to the meat industry began in 1989 when he joined a company as a national accounts manager that specialised in importing of New Zealand lamb. An opportunity arose in 2002 where he moved to a meat trading company gaining valuable experience in the red meat and poultry sector. Steve joined Two Counties Foods in 2004 to expand our lamb, beef and pork sales and became a Shareholder in 2010.
ALAN BIRD - Director
Alan has been in the meat trade for over thirty five years having worked, mainly for New Zealand meat companies, he also gained experience in the meat depot business as well as trading companies in Smithfield. Alan joined our team in 2008 to help expand our red meat and manufacturing business. . Alan joined the board of directors and a shareholder in 2013. In 2016 he became a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Butchers.
STEVE HARPER - Trading Manager
Steve started life in the meat industry via a family’s retail butcher shop whilst attending Oxford College. Eventually, Steve moved into the poultry wholesale trade in 1998 by joining a wholesale distribution business where his role was to introduce other product lines and offer clients a complete meat service. After 25 years Steve moved to TCF. He has continued his relationships with existing customers whilst also bringing new customers and suppliers to the business.
|KOUSH PAUL - Quality Assurance & Logistics
On completion of his degree in Genetics, Koush joined the industry with a poultry trading specialist, where he gained valuable experience in administration and handling of major retail accounts. He was also involved in U.K. and European Logistics as well as stock control. Koush joined Two Counties Foods in 2009 and is now responsible for our due diligence and quality assurance procedures and assists with some of our European logistics.
DAVID LEWINS - Office Manager & Purchase Ledger
David started in the meat industry back in 1986, when he joined the accounts department of a major New Zealand Lamb importer to the U.K. Two years later he moved to Two Counties Foods, where he has remained ever since. David is one of the longest serving members of our team.
Joanne joined the accounts department of Two Counties Foods in 2008. Jo assists David Lewins with the sales ledger accounts.
